Your role will focus on welcoming guests to the bowl display area and helping them find the perfect bowl to take home as part of the Empty Bowls experience. You’ll ensure that the display remains organized, bowls are handled with care, and guests feel supported in making their selection.
Tasks may include:
-
Greeting Guests: Provide a warm welcome and guide guests through the bowl selection process. Volunteers may also share insights about how the bowls were created, highlight community partnerships that contributed donated pieces, and mention painting parties that helped bring the collection to life.
Maintaining Display: Keeping the table neat and organized, restocking as needed, and ensuring bowls are displayed attractively.
-
Handling with Care: Guiding guests in safely handling ceramic or fragile bowls to prevent damage.
-
Coordinating with Bowl Washing Station: Directing guests to the washing area once they’ve chosen a bowl for pre-tasting cleaning.
-
Providing Event Information: Answering general event questions or directing guests to other activity areas.
This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy interacting with guests, have an eye for presentation, and can help create a warm and welcoming start to the Empty Bowls experience. Your attention to detail and friendly service will help set the tone for the rest of the event.
