Thank you for your interest in volunteering with UCAN's Early Learning programs. Our volunteers play a vital role in supporting our students and educators. For the safety and well-being of the children in our care, all volunteer positions require completion of a mandatory screening and qualification process before participation can begin.

Please review the following requirements carefully:

Background Check (Required for all volunteers)

A central registry background check is required to ensure the safety of all students, staff and volunteers. These can take several weeks to be completed Click Here to get started with your background check

Health Appraisal (Required for all volunteers)

A completed health appraisal form completed by your medical professional is required to ensure the health and wellness of all students, staff and volunteers. Click Here to access and print the form

Instructional Videos (Required for Classroom volunteers)

To ensure consistent operations and safety of our students please follow the links below to complete each training video. You will need to create a free account and download a copy of your completion certificate for submission.

Certifications (Required for Classroom and Kitchen volunteers)

A valid food handling card is required in order to ensure proper hygiene and food safety when preparing or serving food around children.

Cost: Approximately $10

**Please Note: Completion and submission of qualifications must be completed and reviewed by the volunteer supervisor prior to the system allowing you to register for a shift. You will be notified once your qualifications have been approved.
